Labradorite
Inuit legend tells us that the Northern Lights were once trapped inside the rocks of the Labrador coast. An ancestor broke them free with a spear, but some of the lights remained trapped in the stone.
If you find it sitting in the shadow, it looks unassuming. It appears as a dark, grey-green stone, perhaps a bit moody, like a storm cloud. But the moment it catches the light, everything changes. Flashes of electric blue, gold, peacock green, and violet erupt from within the dark surface. This optical phenomenon is called labradorescence.
Laborite is the stone of Magic and Transformation. It reminds us that even in the darkest times (or the dullest rocks), there is a brilliant light waiting to be revealed. It is the stone for those who want to see the unseen.

3 Ways to Work with Labradorite
Labradorite is often called the "Shaman’s Stone" because it walks the line between the physical world and the spirit world. Here is how to use it in your daily practice.
1. The Aura Shield (preventing energy leaks)
If you are an empath, a healer, or just someone who feels drained after being in crowds, Labradorite is your best defense. Unlike Black Tourmaline (which acts like a heavy wall), Labradorite acts like a shield that deflects unwanted energy while keeping your own magic contained.
The Ritual: Wear a piece of Labradorite as a pendant (over the heart or throat) or carry a stone in your pocket when going into chaotic environments.
The Intent: Visualize the flash of the stone creating a bubble of iridescent light around your body. Nothing heavy can stick to this shifting light.
2. The "Truth Seeker" Meditation
Labradorite is a banisher of illusions, helping you see the real intentions behind words and actions.
The Ritual: If you are confused about a situation or feel someone isn't being honest with you, hold a piece of Labradorite to your Third Eye (center of forehead) during meditation.
The Action: Ask the stone to "Show me the hidden truth." Pay attention to the flashes of insight or gut feelings that arrive immediately after.
3. Sparking "Serendipity" (Coincidence Magic)
This is the stone of being in the right place at the right time. It aligns your path with the flow of the universe.
The Ritual: Place a piece of Labradorite on your desk or workspace.
The Use: When you feel stuck in a creative block or a business rut, gaze into the flash of the stone. It stimulates the imagination and invites "happy accidents" and new opportunities to find you.
